About Linda-Ann Stewart ![]() Linda-Ann Stewart began her interest in metaphysics at the age of twelve when her mother began to study astrology. Throughout her teen years, Linda-Ann read about reincarnation, the occult, and spiritual subjects. In 1976, she became involved with a several metaphysical groups, where she received direction, discipline and depth for her spiritual explorations. She experienced the first of many past life regressions in 1979. During the late seventies and early eighties, Linda-Ann lectured at metaphysical groups around the Texas Gulf Coast. Linda-Ann was certified as a Clinical Hypnotherapist (Ct.C.H.) and a Certified Hypno-Anesthesia Therapist (Ct.H.A.) in 1989, furthering her spiritual development studies. In 1990, she experienced a personal and spiritual crisis, and had to begin rebuilding her life and faith. With her background in metaphysics, she knew affirmations would improve her life, and repeated them throughout her day. Soon, she had a series of miracles that helped her get her life back on track and opened the way for her to open her private practice in the Sedona area. At the time, she wished that she'd had a tape to follow, rather than memorizing more than five minutes of positive statements. As a result, she developed her Affirmative Flow audio tapes. A frequent speaker and workshop leader, she has conducted classes on a broad range of topics including: stress management, self-esteem, imagery, weight management, self-hypnosis, affirmations, success, dreamworking, and fulfilling your inner potential. In 1999, she gave a workshop on "Pediatric Hypnotherapy" and a presentation on "Women's Issues: Co-dependency" at a national conference of hypnotherapy. She also received the Member Of The Year Award from them in 1999. At the 2000 conference, she gave a workshop on "Inner Wisdom Through Imagery," and a presentation on "Dialogue With Imagery." In 2003, Linda-Ann became a facilitator and Tobacco-Cessation Specialist for the Yavapai Tobacco-Free Partnership, helping people to break free from the tobacco habit. She was also certified to lead classes in the American Cancer Society's "Fresh Start" program. Her articles have appeared in national newsletters, e-zines, Sedona Vortex Connection, The Whole Life Times, In Light Times, and Science of Mind magazine. Considering herself a teacher and guide, she wishes to help people achieve their goals, build a greater sense of self-acceptance, and empower them to utilize their own potential for healing. She was a member of the National Board for Hypnotherapy and Hypnotic Anaesthesiology and the National Association for Transpersonal Psychology. She named her site "Cedarfire" because the "Cedar" tree was sacred to the ancients, and signifies rational good and truth. "Fire" represents Divine Love, Spirit, wisdom, energy and transformation. Together, they incorporate the rational and the elemental, the analytical and the essence, the conscious and subconscious. The logo in the upper left corner of this page is a cedar Tree of Life with a transforming flame climbing up through the center. In her personal life, she's an award winning weaver and photographer. Linda-Ann loves to hike with her significant other, Jeff. Each year, she and Jeff attend the local Renaissance Faire in costume.
