If it
wasn't for finding your site last year, reading all the newsletters as
if it was the last thing on earth I needed to do, I would not have been
so bent on finding the answer to the why's, what else's, and what for's
about my life. I'm applying as quickly as I can the principles that

"Gratitude - Your Key to Activating the Law of Attraction"

Developing an attitude of gratitude is one of the most important things that you can do to manifest more of the things that you desire into your life. According to Brian Tracy, "Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation." When you consciously and consistently develop the habit of expressing earnest gratitude for what you already have in your life, you will attract into your life more things, situations and circumstances to be thankful for.
The Law of Attraction states that you attract into your life whatever you give your attention, energy and focus to, whether wanted or unwanted. According to this powerful universal law, you are constantly sending out vibrations in the Universe. These vibrations are in the form of your thoughts, feelings and emotions and they can be either positive or negative. The events, situations and circumstances that you attract in your life will always be in perfect alignment with the vibrations that you are emitting.

Ask The Expert
Question: If I say affirmation for positive thoughts 10 times in the morning and at night, will I see results within a week?
Answer: If you say affirmations to be more positive 10 times in the morning and evening for a week, you might see an improvement in a week. However, it would also depend if you're also monitoring your thoughts during the day. Affirmations or any such reprogramming techniques work when you're also addressing the issue during the periods that you're not saying the, for example: the rest of the day. They're not magical incantations.
Any reprogramming technique needs the conscious mind to support it and work with it. During the day, when you find yourself in a negative frame of mind, find a way to turn it around to think more positively about the situation, and then say the affirmation to yourself. This reinforces and strengthens the intention of the affirmation.
If you say the affirmation 10 times morning and evening, and during the day consciously choose to think about things differently, as well as using your affirmation at those times, you'll probably begin to see a slight improvement within a week. If you keep doing it, that improvement will be progressive.
And when you find yourself more positive, you should keep monitoring your thoughts and saying your affirmation occassionally during the day to remind yourself to keep moving in the proper direction.

Jeff and I had a challenging hike this month. We went with an acquaintance to a nearby wilderness area that he'd hiked many times before. He guided us, and as the day progressed, the situations went from bad to worse. "What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger" includes four things I learned from it that could be used in every area of your life.
Jeff and I also visited the Grand Canyon again. It's important to get out in nature, especially
when you're feeling stressed and overwhelmed. It doesn't have to be a wilderness area or one of the Seven Wonders of the World. You just should get out and connect with the elements around you. I posted a couple of photos of the Grand Canyon in "Re-energized by the Grand Canyon."
I've posted an article by John Assaraf, of "The Secret" fame. "Bombard Your Subconscious" states that if you want to change your subconscious programs, you need to blast it with positive messages to implant the new messages. Just reading or saying an affirmation every once in a while won't
do it. He describes his own visualization process that's made him so successful.
To accompany my November article, "What Is Your Intention?" I created a Coaching Tip Video entitled, "Communicating With Intention." Being aware of your true intention is important in all areas of your life. It's not only vital when you set goals for yourself, but also when you're communicating with other people. Here are four examples of how the underlying intention of communication can help or hinder you.
