Mental Discipline: Thought management. Do you manage your thoughts or do they manage you? You don't need to make this hard work you just need to pay attention to how your thoughts happen and what you do about them. When negative thoughts start to play or replay in your mind, what technique do you engage to manage and use them for your benefit? It may help you to distinguish thought categories such as those that really do need your attention and reruns that need to be replaced with new tapes. Quick Shift Tip: Focus on what you want (outer target) and want to feel (inner target). Ask yourself what you might do to move these forward. Do it or them. Question: Will hypnosis be dangerous if I misuse it? In the case of hypnosis, it's a normal state of mind that you're in and out of everyday. Whenever you focus on anything, you're in a state of hypnosis. The only way to misuse hypnosis is to give yourself negative suggestions that would decrease the quality of your life. If so, please send me an email. Jeff and I attended Jerome's (a ghost town nearby) monthly Art Walk. I bumped into an old friend, and discovered a new artist and art form. I describe the evening and posted a couple of photos. I answered the past "Ask the Expert" question of "Why is it so hard to break a habit, whether mental or physical?" Recently, we had a tragedy at a local retreat center near Sedona that was hosting James Arthur Ray's Spiritual Warrior training. A couple of people died in the Sweat Lodge, and many of the participants got sick. I was appalled, and wrote my opinion of the incident and those like them. I'd like to know what you think, as well.
